The Institute for Sustainable Energy (IES) founded in December 2021. is an interdisciplinary program “’interdisciplinary object”) of University Paris-Saclay. The IES aims at carrying out initiatives in research, formation and innovation on the topic of sustainable energy and energy transition. Its key players: over 40 laboratories, over 500 scientists involved, and 7 Graduate Schools covering the following disciplines: Chemistry, Physics, Engineering and Systems Sciences, Economics & Management, Geosciences, Climate, Environment and Planets, the Institute of Light Sciences, and Research and Higher Education Professions IES's research axes : • Energy production from sustainable resources • Energy storage and conversion • Electrical grids • End-use and energy efficiency • Energy and Society IES is deeply committed to all innovative approaches that address environmental challenges (energy, waste, and pollution reduction) while promoting more resource-efficient innovations These actions are in line with the national, european research and investment priorities
